Wow, where to begin? My wife and I recently decided to replace our 30 year old carpets and visited several area retailers to help us with decisions. Overwhelmed with all the decisions, while we were driving I mentioned to my wife – Lets go down to Hallstead Pa to see if Liberty Carpet is still in business. We remembered dealing with owner Gail George 30 years ago and had a seamless carpet experience.
We found the store, went in and was graciously greeted by Kim. I asked if Gail still owned the store and much to our surprise Gail came rushing out of her back office to greet us. She remembered us not by name, but faces and was truly happy to see loyal customers come back. After showing Gail our new interior painting colors she thought for a while, then rushed over to her sample collection and came back with a carpet that was spot on with what we needed. We didn’t know what we didn’t know and was overwhelmed with choices, colors and details. Gail explained the benefits of this particular carpet and so I asked for a quote for living room and hallway based on my rough measurements. Her quote was very competitive with several prior quotes we received on quality carpeting so we asked Gail to visit us in Nichols NY to take measurements.
When Gail arrived we also asked her to measure the dinning room and guest bed room down stairs as well as our master bedroom and hallway upstairs. She was very thorough in her measurement taking and explained how she wanted the carpet to run to minimize seams and provide proper flow. A few days later I met her back at her store and we discussed her very competitive quote to do the whole job.
Her installer Nate, arrived with a team and I hired them to move some of the heavy furniture pieces which were too much for my wife and I and 2 days later the job was complete. The carpet matched the sample, the installation was outstanding and Gail performed a final inspection herself to insure our complete satisfaction.
